HeyGen Introduction Video
Talking about your family is a great way to practice English and tell people who is important to you. Plus, you get to share cool stories about your family and learn about other people’s families too!

Your family is the group of people who are closest to you. It’s where you belong, and they are the people who take care of you. Here’s how to talk about them in English!

1. The Basic Family Members:

  • Mother – This is your mom or mum. She’s the one who takes care of you and loves you very much!
(Example: My mother’s name is Maria.)
  • Father – This is your dad or papa. He’s also there to support and protect you!
(Example: My father’s name is John.)
  • Brother – A boy in your family who shares the same parents as you.
    (Example: I have one brother.)
  • Sister – A girl in your family who shares the same parents as you.
    (Example: I have two sisters.)

2. More Family Members:

  • Grandmother – This is your mom’s mom or dad’s mom.
(Example: My grandmother lives with us.)
  • Grandfather – This is your mom’s dad or dad’s dad.
(Example: My grandfather loves to tell stories.)
  • Uncle – Your mom’s brother or dad’s brother.
(Example: My uncle plays video games with me.)
  • Aunt – Your mom’s sister or dad’s sister.
(Example: My aunt is very funny.)
  • Cousin – The children of your uncle or aunt. They can be a boy or a girl.
