Places in a city are different buildings and areas where people live, work, shop, learn, and have fun. Here are some of them:

For Learning and Work

• School – Where children and teenagers go to learn.
  Example: “I go to school every day.”
• University – Where adults study after high school.
  Example: “My sister studies at the university.”
• Office / Bank – Places adults work or manage money.
  Example: “My dad works in an office.”

For Shopping and Food

• Supermarket / Grocery Store – Where you buy food and drinks.
  Example: “I buy bread at the supermarket.”
• Restaurant / Cafe – Places to eat or drink.
  Example: “We eat pizza at the restaurant.”
• Shopping Center / Mall – A big place with many shops.
  Example: “I buy clothes at the shopping center.”

For Fun and Leisure

• Cinema / Movie Theater – Where you watch movies.
  Example: “We watch a film at the cinema.”
• Park – A green area to walk, play, or relax.
  Example: “I play football in the park.”
• Zoo – A place to see animals.
  Example: “I love visiting the zoo.”

For Travel and Transport

• Bus Station / Train Station – Where you catch a bus or train.
  Example: “The train station is next to the park.”
• Airport – Where you travel by plane.
  Example: “We go to the airport to fly to another city.”

Other Important Places

• Hospital / Clinic – Where you go when you’re sick.
  Example: “I visit the hospital when I am sick.”
• Post Office – Where you send letters or packages.
  Example: “I send a postcard at the post office.”
• Police Station / Fire Station – Places that help people and keep the city safe.
  Example: “The police station is near the supermarket.”
