Learning goals: Explain the processes of wind generation and relate them to different types of local wind systems. Explain the Coriolis effect and how it affects Earth’s global wind patterns. Explain how the sun’s energy causes weather. Explain what causes air temperature, moisture, and pressure to increase and decrease. Explain how clouds form and relate them to weather events according to their types. Identify the causes of thunderstorms, lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, and blizzards.

Clase Magistral sobre el clima, formación de nubes, vientos, y fenómenos meteorológicos. Learning by doing.- Los estudiantes le tomarán fotos al cielo a las 10 de la mañana, los días lunes 22, martes 23 y miércoles 24 de enero, y tratarán de identificar que tipo de nube es. Problem solved learning.- Los estudiantes completarán una hoja de trabajo que resume lo aprendido en el capítulo.
Learning by doing.- Los estudiantes recrearán la formación de la lluvia desde sus casas utilizando un frasco, agua a distintas temperatures, hielo, y verán su relación con la presión una vez que ellos tapen o dejen al aire libre el frasco.
