🐪Nubia was a great kingdom on the Nile River south of Ancient Egypt that lasted from approximately 800 BCE to 350 CE. The river provided both the ancient Egyptians and the Nubians with the water needed to grow food in an otherwise dry climate. 𓃠
The Nile was not the only thing these great cultures shared — the Nubian civilization and Egypt also had a long history of trade. For example, Nubians traded ivory, incense, ebony, and gold for Egyptian pottery, glassware, and textiles.🏺🏺
