Learning goals: By the end of the class, students should be able to describe the key anatomical structures of the respiratory system, including the nose, trachea, bronchi, and lungs, and explain their roles in the process of respiration. Students should also understand the mechanics of breathing, the exchange of gases in the alveoli, and the transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood.
