The do’s and don’ts for First Aid treatments

Learning goals:
- Explain how prompt and appropriate First Aid can make a difference in the outcome of an injury or illness.
- Learn the universal steps to take in an emergency: assess the scene, call for help, and provide care.
- Identify the symptoms of shock and learn appropriate First Aid measures to help someone in shock.
- Understand the different types of burns and appropriate First Aid measures for each.
- Learn what not to do to avoid exacerbating burn injuries.
- Stay informed about the latest First Aid guidelines and protocols.

Learning activities:
1.- The students will select some type of emergency in groups, then they will make infographics where they will project what they should and should not do in case of rendering first aid in case of emergency.
2.- Debate: the students will hold a debate where they will discuss their position in an emergency, among them they will decide what they should and should not do when giving first aid.
