Learning goals:
The objective of this lesson is to improve students’ listening, speaking, and presentation skills while exposing them to inspiring and thought-provoking ideas through TED Talks and engaging them in their own presentations.

Learning activities:
Step 1: TED Talk Viewing (30-40 minutes)
– Begin the lesson by introducing the concept of TED Talks and their popularity as a platform for sharing ideas. Discuss the impact of these talks on the global community and how they inspire change.
– Choose a TED Talk that matches the interests and language level of the students. It could be related to technology, social issues, science, personal development, or any other topic that appeals to your learners.
– Provide students with a set of pre-viewing questions to focus their attention on key points in the talk.
– Play the TED Talk, allowing students to listen actively and take notes.

Step 2: TED Talk Discussion (30 minutes)
– After the talk, initiate a class discussion. Encourage students to share their thoughts, impressions, and reactions to the ideas presented in the talk.
– Promote critical thinking by asking follow-up questions and encouraging students to express their opinions, agreeing or disagreeing with the speaker’s perspective.
