C1 Level Objectives
Listening:
You will be able to understand a wide range of complex, longer clauses and recognize implicit meaning. To accomplish this, you will engage with varied and complex audio materials, including lectures, podcasts, and discussions, allowing you to appreciate nuances and underlying messages.
Reading
You will have the ability to understand long and complex factual and literary texts, appreciating distinctions of style. You will do this by exploring diverse genres and subjects, enhancing your ability to analyze and interpret sophisticated material. You’ll also be reading material commonly encountered by native speakers in their daily lives.
Speaking
You will express ideas fluently and naturally, and use English effectively in social, academic, and professional settings. By participating in public presentations, group projects, and role-playing activities, you’ll practice speaking in various contexts, adapt your language to different scenarios, and learn to use idioms and casual expressions.
Writing
You will be in a position to write clear, detailed texts on complex subjects using effective organization and connectors. You will attain this by engaging in engaging in various writing tasks, from essays and reports to creative writing, while also receiving personalized feedback to improve your skills.

The following activities serve as icebreakers designed to help you get to know your classmates and build a strong sense of community within the class. Additionally, they will provide opportunities to practice critical thinking, active listening, and detailed speaking in an enjoyable and engaging manner.
Looking into the Future
Instructions
Use sticky notes to write down two or three goals that you have for this school year in C1 English.
Everyone will stick them on one of the classroom walls. You will then share your goals with the class, and everyone will engage in a friendly discussion about the class’s goals and how to achieve them.

Two Truths and a Lie
Instructions
The teacher will start by sharing three statements about themselves: two truths and one lie. Your task is to guess which statement is the lie.
Next, each student will take turns sharing three statements in the same formatātwo truths and one lie. The rest of the class will then try to guess which statement is the lie.
Human Bingo
Instructions
Create a bingo card with different prompts like “has traveled to another country,” “plays a musical instrument,” or “has a pet cat.”
Walk around and find classmates who match the prompts, filling in the card with their names. The first person to complete a row or a column on their bingo card wins!
Desert Island Scenario
