HeyGen Introduction Video

Let’s have a look at some simple verbs that show an action:

Of course, there are many more verbs in English, but these are some of the most common and basic ones.

As you probably noticed, verbs change their spelling when we talk about the past. Later on in the course, you will learn how to use and modify verbs in the past, present, and future.

In the next two videos, you will hear how to say the verbs we’ve already seen, plus some other common ones. Listen carefully to their pronunciation.

What about verbs that don’t show actions but describe a state? These state verbs show how we feel, think, or exist. You will learn more about these verbs in higher levels of English. But there is one very important verb you need to know at this stage of your English journey: the verb ā€˜to be’. It’s so important that we will talk about it in the next lesson.

For now, let’s practice the verbs you’ve learned in this lesson!
