Students will finish their 20 words about challenges that Inca empire would have faced. Students willlearn about Sapa Inca and the Social System class of Incas. Students will learn about architecture and their economy.
Inca Empire Simulation Game:Divide students into groups, assigning each group a region of Tahuantinsuyo.Task them with making decisions as Inca rulers, considering aspects like resource management, trade, agriculture, and defense strategies within their region.Encourage negotiation between groups for trade or resource sharing to mimic the Inca’s systems of reciprocity. Create a Tahuantinsuyo Map: Teacher will provide students with a blank map of South America and instruct them to depict the four regions of Tahuantinsuyo (Chinchaysuyu, Antisuyu, Contisuyu, and Collasuyu). Label important cities, geographical features, and major landmarks within each region.
Inca Road System Construction: Discuss the importance of the Inca road system and its role in unifying Tahuantinsuyo. Challenge students to design and create a scaled model of the Inca road system using cardboard, paper, or other materials. Emphasize key features like suspension bridges, stairs, and rest areas.
