Learning goals:

  • Students should be able to differentiate between “there is” (singular) and “there are” (plural).
  • Students should be able to describe a room, a picture, or a scene using “there is/are.”
  • Students should understand and use negative forms (“there isn’t/aren’t”) to express the absence of something.
  • Students should learn new vocabulary related to common places, objects, and activities to enhance their ability to use “there is/are” effectively.
  • Students should practice using “there is/are” in pairs or small groups to improve conversational skills.
  • Activities: Provide worksheets or online quizzes for self-assessment and reinforce learning through regular review sessions.
