Past Experiences

SKILLS
EFL 4.1.2: Identify main ideas and details in simple informational texts, stories, or narratives about past events.
EFL 4.2.14: Use strategies to maintain conversational exchanges, such as asking for clarification or showing interest, while talking about past events.
EFL 4.3.4: Use ICT tools to research, organize, and present information or digital stories about personal histories.
EFL 4.4.1: Write short, simple, and coherent narrative texts about personal experiences using basic sequence connectors (first, then, after that, finally).
REAL-LIFE APPLICATION
Sharing past experiences is the foundation of human connection. By learning to narrate their own lives, students develop the ability to bond with others through storytelling, explain past mistakes to find solutions, and share cultural or personal memories. Whether they are recounting a funny vacation memory, explaining a past health issue to a doctor, or describing a historical event, students gain the communicative power to bridge their internal world with the external one. This unit transforms English from a grammar exercise into a tool for building empathy, identity, and shared understanding.
